  “She's Dating The Gangster” is a 2014 Filipino teen romantic comedy-drama film based on the best-selling novel of the same name that originally published on wattpad, a writing community online. The film is directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. Both young stars were known in abs-cbn’s teleserye, “Princess and I”.

         The story revolves around Athena Dizon (Kathryn Bernando) , a 17-year-old student and Kenji Delos Reyes (Daniel Padilla), a rebellious teenager. They started their romance in a false-truth to purposely spite Kenji's ex-girlfriend. Athena expected that everything will be fine. She slowly realizes that her life is not that stable, as her relationship with Kenji inevitably transform into something greater.

         “She's Dating The Gangster” movie is one of the top grossing Filipino teen film of this year which earned atleast 260 million.  

This simply shows that thousands of supporters of “KathNiel”, a fan’s club whose name was derived from the first name of both teen stars, are dying to watch the movie.

I am not a fan of “KathNiel” but then I find the movie amazing and it was like "aw! Kilig to the bones" and it can truly touches the viewer’s heart.

Many viewers can relate with this movie, not only the Filipinos but also those who are abroad, specially the teenagers.

 I feel disappointed at the end of the movie when Kenji (Daniel Padilla) got married with Abi (Kenji's Ex-girlfriend) and have their son born. Unfortunately, Athena Dizon (Kathryn Bernardo) suffered from a sickness and died.

For me, the movie is not a happy ending and “Forever” didn’t exist for both of them who truly loved each other. The film is far different from wattpad’s story of   “She's Dating The Gangster” which I have read. There is a little twist of scenarios in the movie compared to that of wattpad. But all in all, “She's Dating The Gangster” , a Filipino teen romantic comedy-drama, was a very nice film to watch, especially for those who’s in-love and for those who have a spirit of youthfulness.
